Niacinamide in K-beauty: the multitasking ingredient
6 min read
What niacinamide does
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is the rare ingredient that seems to do everything: regulates oil, minimizes pore appearance, fades dark spots, strengthens the barrier, and reduces redness. It's gentle enough for all skin types.
Why K-beauty loves it
Korean brands put niacinamide in everything from toners to sunscreens because it plays well with other ingredients and rarely irritates. It's the workhorse of a routine — quietly effective in the background.
How to use it
Concentrations of 2–5% are ideal — higher isn't better and can cause flushing. You can use it morning and night, and it pairs with nearly everything (unlike vitamin C or retinol). If a Korean product lists niacinamide, it's a good sign.
